Venture Capital Funds
Venture Capital Funds invest in early-stage companies with high growth potential.
Blockchain-focused VC funds invest in companies building innovative blockchain products and services, including solutions related to stablecoins, payment networks, fiat-on/off-ramps, remittances, trading infrastructure, public and private DLT networks, interoperability, DeFi, wallets and other blockchain-related projects.
VC funds are typically structured as closed-ended Limited Partnerships with an initial term of at least five years and are open only to accredited investors. Investment minimums are typically $25,000 or more and are illiquid for several years. Return on investment is captured via the eventual sale or IPO of portfolio companies. Investors in VC funds typically receive a Form K-1 each year.
